Fall 2011 Well summer is now officially over and so starts my most favorite time of the year. And this year, I’ll be super busy! “Hex-a-palooza” is here!! It’s all about hexagons, and the beautiful quilts you can make. And now with pre cut paper pieces, it’s easier and quicker than ever! Stop by and see all the awesome quilts-both new and old. And while you’re here, pick up a free “seed packet” and - learn to English Paper Piece! Free patterns are available with the purchase of large packet of precut papers. I’m doing a bit of quilt show vending this fall. There’ll be lots of great quilts by many talented quilters! I’ll be giving a lecture, Nov 2, for the Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild. Visitors are always welcome! For more info: www.scqg.org “Appliqué and Your Quilt” showcases all manner of appliqué and how they can enhance your quilt. Check the website for pictures of new items that are being added. Lots of fun fabrics, patterns, notions, etc. are on the way. Classes are now available for the fall. There will be additional classes added as I work with the instructors to find the right dates. Email updates will be sent out – but not too many, I promise! And finally, thanks to all who stopped by to wish me Happy Anniversary. It has been a really fun ride and a pleasure to meet you, teach you, and share your quilting journey.
Did you know that Cobblestone Quilts offers a machine quilting service? I offer a full range of quilting services, from machine basting for hand quilting, to edge to edge designs, to full custom (includes stitch in the ditch, crosshatching, etc). All quilting is done at the shop, in a smoke free, pet free environment. A little about me I have been quilting for 30+ years and machine quilting for 6 years. I have won several ribbons (Vermont Quilt Festival, Maine Quilts, A Quilter’s Gathering), including a Judge’s Choice ribbon from John Flynn. One of my award winning quilts has been published in the 2008 Sept/Oct edition of Quilter Newsletter Magazine. This quilt has also been selected as a “Country Living Classic” by Country Living Magazine, and is one of 30 quilts selected to be on display at The Houston International Quilt Festival, The International Quilt Festival/Chicago, and The International Quilt Festival/Long Beach, California.
